Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Missouri is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of the corrugator/converting shift, focusing on safety, quality, delivery and cost. You will coach staff, manage performance, and coordinate with other departments to meet production goals and schedules.

Required: high school diploma or GED, 3+ years supervisory experience in a packaging facility, and Lean/Six Sigma credentials.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of corrugator / converting supervisory experience in a packaging facility.
• Experience in a Lean environment; Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred.
• Proven track record in operations, manufacturing or supply chain.
• Excellent communication and listening skills; strong problem-solving ability.
• Ability to coach and train employees; cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day shift operations with emphasis on safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Act as first point of contact for operators on issues and maintenance needs.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and enforce control procedures.
• Coordinate production activities with other departments to meet goals.
• Monitor production to eliminate waste and ensure schedules are met.
• Input production data to measure KPIs and drive efficiency.
• Provide safety, environmental and health recommendations for the facility.
• Produce daily shift production reports and reviews.
• Coach staff and conduct performance reviews; manage disciplinary actions.
• Recruit, orient, train staff and develop growth opportunities.
