Job summary

Viatris is seeking an Associate Project Manager Operations – 1st Shift at our site in West Virginia. You will help lead Lean initiatives and coordinate cross-functional projects from start to finish.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience in project management, with proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook. PMP/Lean/Six Sigma are preferred but not required, and strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 4 years of relevant experience.
• Must possess knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook.
• PMP, Lean, or Six Sigma preferred but not required.
• Strong project management, planning and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Lean Champion in planning, coordination, and execution of Lean initiatives, site priorities, governance routines, and key operational projects. Manage and coordinate cross-functional projects from initiation through completion, including defining objectives, developing project plans, establishing timelines, and tracking milestones and deliverables.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks or barriers, and proactively/escalate issues that may impact timelines or successful execution.
• Maintain project plans, action logs, dashboards, and other tools to ensure visibility, accountability, and timely follow-through on commitments.
• Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, including developing agendas, documenting decisions and action items, and following up with stakeholders to ensure completion.
• Support Lean governance routines by preparing materials, tracking actions, documenting decisions, monitoring overdue items, and escalating barriers when needed.
• Prepare presentations, reports, executive summaries, and other materials to support effective communication and decision-making.
• Gather, organize, and analyze information and performance data to identify trends, provide insights, and support site priorities.
• Handle sensitive and confidential information with appropriate discretion and professionalism.
• In collaboration with the Senior Associate Site Operations, assist with coordinating site visits, leadership events, workshops, and other high-priority activities as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve project management processes, communication, coordination, and overall organizational effectiveness.
