Job summary

nVent is offering an Operations Internship: Production Supervisor for a 12-week summer program in Solon, OH. intern will monitor production, conduct quality inspections, and participate in Lean initiatives while gaining exposure to a global manufacturing organization.

We value a current bachelor’s student in Operations or related field with strong communication, detail-orientation, and a collaborative mindset. Relocation and housing support are available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Operations, Operations Management or related field.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. now and in the future; no sponsorship provided.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate across organization.
• Energy to learn, adapt and stay resilient through change.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily production of value streams and participate in corrective actions.
• Conduct quality inspections using quality tools.
• Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data with recommendations.
• Learn and apply Lean methodologies to become a Lean change agent.
• Coordinate employee training to meet quality requirements.
