Job summary

nVent is seeking a Production Lead in Solon, IA to drive Lean manufacturing initiatives and lead daily production activities on the 3PM–11PM shift. The role emphasizes training, performance reviews, and mentoring, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and quality.

You will review payroll hours weekly, support new processes, and lead improvement projects to deliver reliable output. A high school diploma is required, and a BA is a plus for growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BA degree is a plus.
• Ideal 3+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• Ideal 2+ years of Lean manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct production employees, including training, directing, performance reviews, and mentoring.
• Oversee day-to-day production activities to meet commitments while improvements are made.
• Monitor daily performance using process boards and standard communication channels.
• Act as a change agent to drive waste reduction via Lean methodologies.
• Maintain a clean, safe workplace and support safety programs.
• Review and submit payroll hours weekly and handle exceptions.
• Support new process and product development and implementation.
• Develop key improvement projects and fulfill related duties.
