Job summary

CRH Americas Building Products seeks an Operational Excellence Manager (Finance) to drive lean improvements, capital projects, and profitability across Mountain West plants. You will partner with Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and EH&S in a heavy travel role (75–90%) to deliver ROI and operational excellence.

The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing with lean expertise and strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD and ERP/MRP systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of manufacturing experience, ideally in precast/manufacturing settings.
• In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement.
• Quality control/maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of delivering improvements using Lean techniques.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD and ERP/MRP systems; strong project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate and improve production methods using lean tools and quality standards.
• Identify opportunities for regional improvements with operations and sales teams.
• Provide guidance to plant teams implementing lean processes and capital projects.
• Drive process changes through hands-on coordination with plant teams.
• Optimize plant layouts and flows to cut inefficiencies and costs.
• Lead plant improvement workshops and Kaizen events; track outcomes.
• Train teams on lean tools (kaizen, 5S) and monitor progress against plans.
• Translate operational needs into project requirements and specifications.
• Prioritize capital project proposals with ROI analysis and cost controls.
