Job summary

CRH Americas Building Products is seeking an Operational Excellence Manager (Finance) to drive lean manufacturing initiatives, process improvements, and capital projects across the Mountain West Region. This role requires leading cross-functional teams, developing business cases, ROI analyses, and mentoring plant personnel.

The position involves heavy travel (75-90%) between AZ, UT, and ID, with assignments at Chandler, AZ, Nampa ID, or other regional plants; you will partner with Operations,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in precast.
• Deep knowledge of lean manufacturing to support continuous operations.
• Quality control/maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Proven track record with lean techniques yielding results.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD and ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong leadership, communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate and improve production methods using lean tools and quality standards.
• Identify opportunities for regional improvements with operations/sales teams.
• Provide oversight and mentoring to plant-level lean projects.
• Drive process changes with hands-on coordination at plants.
• Optimize plant layout to reduce waste and costs.
• Lead capital project workshops and address bottlenecks in production.
• Provide training on kaizen, 5S and lean tools.
• Track improvement opportunities and ensure completion as planned.
• Translate operational needs into projects and specifications.
• Develop ROI-focused business cases for capital initiatives.
