Job summary

Valmont Industries in Jasper, TN is seeking a Production Supervisor for the night shift (Mon-Thu, 8:00 PM – 6:15 AM). You will supervise hourly workers, ensure safety and quality, and drive productivity on a two-shift operation.

Reports to the Operations Manager and manages up to 40 direct reports. Responsibilities include scheduling, training, policy enforcement, and maintaining daily reports for time, overtime, and downtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 7+ years relevant experience, or an Associate's degree with 5+ years experience, or a Bachelor's with 3+ years experience.
• Strong leadership skills to support divisional objectives.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor employees’ safety compliance and procedures.
• Implement and assign work schedules to maximize manpower, machines, and equipment.
• Define production standards and monitor performance of assigned personnel.
• Observe personnel and ensure proper operation of equipment.
• Ensure quality checks and QA to produce high-quality products.
• Promote continuous productivity improvements and solicit ideas.
• Train new employees on policies and safety procedures.
• Prepare daily time sheets, production summaries, overtime and downtime reports.
