Job summary

Trane Technologies in Fort Smith is seeking a Materials Manager responsible for production scheduling, materials planning, inventory strategy, and site-wide material initiatives. This role also serves as a key driver of lean and continuous improvement, with KPIs including inventory turns and on-time shipping to the requested date.

You will lead the local planning function, align the production plan to the SIOP consensus plan, and collaborate with Global Procurement to optimize supplier

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a manufacturing environment with lean concepts.
• 10+ years in materials management with lean, MRP, and supplier relations.
• Minimum 3 years in managerial role standardizing planning and execution.

Responsibilities

• Oversee materials management for the site, including warehouse and planning strategy.
• Optimize scheduling, purchasing, inventory planning, supplier performance, and indirect materials.
• Lead SIOP standard work playbooks; align production planning with material procurement and order management.
• Direct receiving, shipping, warehousing, and production parts presentation.
• Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives to improve delivery performance and inventory
