Job summary

Stellantis in Michigan seeks a Material Handling Shift Manager to lead teams of hourly and salaried staff in achieving daily production targets and to troubleshoot and allocate resources to keep throughput on track. The role also directly manages salaried non-bargaining personnel, including hiring and training, while promoting the Stellantis Production Way lean practices across the plant.

You will oversee safety, quality, cost initiatives and partner across levels from shop floor to executive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge and application.
• Ability to direct the workforce and deliver KPI results.
• Experience resolving employee conflicts with professionalism.
• Excellent oral and written communication including MS Office and Google Suite.
• Ability to work any shift and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams of hourly and salary employees to meet daily production targets.
• Troubleshoot problems and allocate resources to avoid throughput impact.
• Directly manage salaried non-bargaining employees including hiring and training.
• Promote Stellantis Production Way lean activities.
• Manpower management including hiring, training, performance, and retention.
• Lead safety, quality, and cost initiatives set forth by Plant and Corporate.
