Job summary

Stellantis is seeking a Material Operations Manager in Sterling Heights, MI to lead daily material flow on the production floor and serve as a key resource to Plant Production Operations Centers, Safety, Quality, Engineering, and MLM Production Control Operations.

The role leads a cross-functional team of salaried employees, oversees hiring, training, performance, retention, and participates in Stellantis Production Way lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or related field required.
• 5+ years manufacturing experience in production control, supply chain or material handling.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge and application.
• Ability to lead workforce and drive KPI results.
• Experience resolving employee conflicts with professionalism.
• Excellent oral and written communication; proficient in MS Office/Google Suite.
• Ability to work any shift and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead material throughput improvement initiatives and downtime mitigation.
• Manage manpower, hiring, training, performance, and retention.
• Participate in Lean Management activities and kaizen projects.
• Lead Safety, Quality and Cost initiatives at plant and corporate levels.
• Interact with bargaining and non-bargaining staff and executive leadership.
