Job summary

Eaton Corporation seeks a Manufacturing Technician – Lean Material Flow to support and improve material flow in warehouse and production areas. You will apply Lean principles to ensure on-time delivery while reducing waste and inventory, with emphasis on safety and cost efficiency.

The role covers creating OMS/SOPs, implementing pull systems, leading 5S, and supporting layout changes. Requires 1+ year manufacturing experience and basic statistical skills; HS Diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with measurement tools and basic statistical analysis.
• Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience, preferably in engineering support or technical roles.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
• Strong organizational, presentation, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
• HS Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Support Lean Material Flow initiatives and continuously improve processes.
• Develop and maintain Point of Use material presentation standards.
• Design and improve kit carts, flow racks, supermarkets, and storage solutions.
• Implement Kanban, Two-Bin, FIFO, and replenishment processes.
• Perform material flow studies and route evaluations to identify improvements.
• Analyze material movement to reduce transportation and handling.
• Create and update OMS and SOP documents.
• Lead 5S and visual management activities across operations.
• Assist layout changes to improve flow and space utilization.
• Monitor KPIs for material flow, inventory accuracy, and warehouse efficiency.
• Participate in Kaizen/RIE events and continuous improvement activities.
• Identify safety and ergonomic risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Support milk runs and standardized replenishment schedules.
• Assist root-cause analysis using 5 Whys, Fishbone, and PFMEA.
• Train operators on new processes and visual controls.
