Job summary

Watts Water Technologies in Franklin, NH seeks a 2nd shift Operations Supervisor to lead a 30-person hourly team in a manufacturing facility. You will drive safety, quality, on-time delivery and continuous improvement while partnering with Engineering and Quality to resolve issues.

The role emphasizes Lean principles, daily Gemba walks, KPI reviews, and resource optimization to meet production plans. Reports to the Operations Manager; travel < 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; in lieu of degree, 2+ years of experience or equivalent education/work experience.
• Demonstrated experience in Lean Manufacturing principles and their application.
• Strong working knowledge of manufacturing operating systems.
• Advanced level decision-making experience.
• Supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to engage team members.
• Commitment to safety, punctuality, and attendance standards.
• Understanding of applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, quality and delivery standards, plus budget and cost control.
• Manage 3rd shift production and material handling to meet delivery schedules.
• Lead daily Gemba walks and KPI board reviews to track performance.
• Review production and operating reports; address operational and maintenance challenges.
• Improve resource use by organizing and directing workflow to meet production plans.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles and root-cause problem-solving using VOC feedback.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and peers to resolve major process and quality issues.
• Contribute to facility planning, plant layout, and other projects.
• Provide feedback on AOP development, capital planning, and manufacturing improvements.
• Drive a culture of safety and enforce PPE usage and incident reporting.
