Job summary

OPW, a global leader in fluid-handling solutions, seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing and warehouse operations in Skokie, IL. You will drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery while leading a team through Lean practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ideal candidates have supervisory experience in manufacturing, exposure to lean and regulated environments, and proficiency with ERP/Oracle systems.

Qualifications

Two or more years’ experience in supervisory role in manufacturing (associates degree) or equivalent years of experience.
Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience are required/preferred.
Experience in rail or regulated manufacturing environments is highly desired.
CNC machining and programming experience is highly desired.
Knowledge of safety standards, quality expectations, and basic inventory practices.
Proficiency with production/inventory systems (ERP/Oracle) and MS Office is preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily production and warehouse/distribution activities to meet safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery targets.
Assign work, prioritize activities, and adjust staffing to meet schedule and customer needs.
Lead daily huddles and functional reviews; monitor performance and escalate issues.
Support workforce planning, scheduling, and annual business planning.
Ensure ISO 9001:2015 and AAR M-1003 compliance; maintain accurate production records.
