Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for the Harvey, IL facility on the 3rd shift. You will supervise machine operation staff with emphasis on teamwork, safety, quality, and productivity.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, with a preference for lean Manufacturing or Business System background. Bachelor's degree is preferred, and candidate must be flexible to schedule and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in lean manufacturing or a business system-based company is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead using the Atkore Business System and Lean Daily Management within their teams and utilize Lean tools for improvement projects focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
• Develop plans to improve engagement, alignment, and performance of team members within the value stream.
• Instill a positive team atmosphere by holding regular meetings, assigning tasks, and coordinating support services.
• Implement cross-training to ensure proper function of work cells and maximize team potential.
• Coach team members to identify problems, perform root cause analyses, and implement countermeasures.
