Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Tube Mill Operator for the 3rd shift in Harvey, IL. You will operate, set up and adjust Tube Mill equipment and tooling, reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of 3 years in a fast-paced steel manufacturing environment, with lean manufacturing experience considered a plus. You will follow 5S, PPE and safety protocols while ensuring quality and timely paperwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, processing steel.
• Experience in lean manufacturing or a business system-based company is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe and efficient workplace by following 5S, Standard Work and wearing all required PPE.
• Set up Tube Mill.
• Adjust and operate all components areas of Tube Mill.
• Ensure quality based on specification provided with work order.
• Complete daily paperwork on time.
• Maintain all coating and induction equipment.
• Conduct safety inspection of work area daily.
• Fill out hour by hour board.
