Job summary

Linde Advanced Material Technologies Inc. in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Mechanical Process Engineer to analyze production processes to identify waste, reduce cycle times, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

You will provide hands-on technical support to production and maintenance teams to resolve daily issues and implement robust corrective actions, with time split between office and the production floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial or related Engineering required.
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing/industrial process environment required.
• Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a demanding environment.
• Analytical and data-driven process improvement, troubleshooting, and applying engineering principles on the plant floor.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production processes to identify waste, reduce cycle times, and improve OEE.
• Provide hands-on technical support to production and maintenance teams to resolve daily issues and implement corrective actions.
• Split time between office and production floor.
• Develop manufacturing routings, SOPs, and work instructions for new and existing products.
• Analyze production data and prepare reports on process performance metrics.
• Lead installation and startup of new equipment as the technical lead.
• Lead productivity improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
