Job summary

Linde Advanced Material Technologies Inc. in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Mechanical Process Engineer to analyze production processes, reduce waste, and improve OEE.

You will support production and maintenance teams on daily issues and corrective actions, with a mix of on-site office and floor work. You will develop routings, SOPs, and work instructions for current and new products, analyze data for performance metrics, and lead installation/startup of new equipment, leveraging Lean and Six

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial or related Engineering or Engineering Technology field required.
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial process environment required.
• Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks/projects in a demanding environment.
• Experience with analytical and data-driven process improvement, troubleshooting, and applying engineering principles on the plant floor.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Minitab, and AutoCAD.
• Experience managing mid-size capital projects from design through execution.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production processes to identify waste, reduce cycle times and improve OEE.
• Provide hands-on technical support to production and maintenance teams to resolve daily issues and implement corrective actions.
• Balance time between office work and on the production floor.
• Develop manufacturing routings, SOPs, and work instructions for new and existing products.
• Analyze production data and prepare reports on process performance metrics.
• Serve as the primary technical lead for installation and startup of new equipment.
• Lead productivity improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Familiar with the production floor and processes and work on new equipment installations.
