Job summary

MCC is seeking an Operations Manager for our West Henrietta, NY site to lead production operations and develop high-performing teams. The role focuses on safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements using Lean methods.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in Operations/Lean Management, a relevant degree, and strong communication skills. Printing industry experience is preferred, with a proven track record in driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or Business or equivalent.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Operations and/or Lean Management.
• Printing industry experience is preferred.
• Experience as a change agent in complex transformational activities.
• Ability to apply structured problem-solving methodologies to determine root causes and countermeasures.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs site production operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
• Leads safety initiatives and continuously improves safety performance.
• Implements quality control plans and reduces process variation.
• Monitors on-time delivery and drives actions to sustain high performance.
• Manages labor, overtime, and expenditures to control costs.
• Plans staffing weekly and reallocates resources as priorities shift.
• Reviews production reports to identify root causes of variances and implements corrective actions.
• Leads Kaizen activities and promotes productivity gains.
• Facilitates Gemba walks using SQDC boards and War Room tools.
• Coordinates staffing levels with HR and ensures policy adherence.
