Job summary

MCC is seeking an Continuous Improvement/Operational Excellence Manager to drive Lean manufacturing initiatives in a large Illinois plant. You will lead productivity improvements, coach teams, and coordinate with site leadership to eliminate waste and improve KPI performance.

The role requires BS in Engineering or Operations Management, Lean Six Sigma experience preferred, and a proven track record in leading transformational Lean efforts within manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• BS - Engineering or Operations Management or equivalent experience is required.
• Lean Six Sigma experience is preferred.
• Five or more years of experience in plant leadership, with at least 2 years in a position driving Lean initiatives.
• Strong change management skills and demonstrated experience changing a culture to a Lean environment.
• Experience leading employees who are not direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Drive Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives in the plant to exceed business objectives.
• Lead Kaizen events and manage action items to achieve tangible results.
• Develop and implement a site transformation plan aligned to a Lean Operating System.
• Teach Lean tools to all levels of the organization and mentor teams.
• Collaborate with site leadership and external vendors to improve Safety, Quality, and productivity.
