Job summary

MCC Label is seeking an Operational Excellence Manager to drive our Lean transformation within the York Springs plant. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives, educate teams in waste elimination, and ensure safety and quality programs are integrated with Lean practices.

The role requires strong influence, management skills, and experience directing non-direct reports, reporting to the Plant Manager. A robust Lean background is essential to deliver tangible results.

Qualifications

• BS - Engineering or Operations Management or equivalent experience is required.
• Lean Six Sigma experience is preferred.
• Five or more years of experience in plant leadership, with at least 2 years in a position responsible for driving Lean manufacturing initiatives in complex manufacturing facilities.
• Strong change management skills and demonstrated experience changing a culture to a Lean environment.
• Experience in being a change agent leading complex transformational activities.
• Experience leading and directing employees who are not direct reports.
• Significant experience implementing complex Lean principles across multiple manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of, understanding of and compliance to all QOD’s that are associated with your job description.
• Actively participate in Lean, Quality, Product Safety, SQF and Workplace Safety Programs.
• Utilization of CI/Lean tools, processes, and systems.
• Lead Kaizen events and follow up on action items.
• Analyze reporting and communication of departmental KPIs related to continuous improvements and EHS performance.
• Drive KPI by using Lean Principles to analyze systems and create action plans.
• Develop and implement a site transformation plan with management.
• Mentor KPO team members and ensure pre-event training and post-event follow-up.
