Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking an intern for its TOS/Continuous Improvement impact team in Mount Holly, NC. You will work on Lean Manufacturing projects, collect and analyze performance data, and support Kaizen events and value stream mapping.

Interns gain hands-on experience in project management and operational analytics, with opportunities to transition to a full-time role based on performance and business needs.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's program or recently graduated within 1 year.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or related.
• Interest in manufacturing operations, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
• Demonstrated initiative and commitment to learning.

Responsibilities

• Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
• Collect, analyze, and report operational performance data.
• Participate in Lean activities (Kaizen, 5S, value stream mapping).
• Assist in implementing Lean tools and standard work.
