Zusammenfassung

Volvo Group, including Mack Trucks, is offering internships in the United States to join production teams. You will engage in lean manufacturing projects, gain hands-on experience with data collection, process analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives across assembly and logistics areas.

You will work up to 30 hours per week while pursuing engineering studies, with housing assistance and broad development opportunities within this global organization.

Qualifikationen

• Applicant must be currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Engineering: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering.
• Applicants must have completed 30 semester hours before the internship starts and must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75.
• Interns may work up to 30 hours per week.
• Strong communication skills.
• Valid US Work authorization.

Aufgaben

• Drive lean methodology.
• Data collection and analysis focusing on standards and repeatability.
• Video analysis of current processes to analyze Muri, Mura and Muda.
• Assist line balancing projects.
• Work with other departments to implement product and process changes.
• Support training sessions of Lean Manufacturing tools.
• Participate in project planning, implementation and improvements.
• Works FI (Focus Improvement) Owner to promote the Culture of Continuous Improvement.
• Support 5S activities.
• Assist Kaizens on organization and in Kaizen weeks.
• Assist in follow-up, reports and flow charts.
• Participate in functional meetings.
• Maintain a daily mindset of continuous improvement.
