Responsibilities

• Function as a first-line supervisor over team leaders and team members.
• Plan and coordinate hiring and placement of team members; monitor staffing and overtime.
• Ensure compliance with all company rules; take corrective action as needed.
• Manage and appraise team member performance; implement corrective actions.
• Develop positive team relations based on trust, respect and teamwork.
• Provide direction and motivation emphasizing safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, and morale.
• Lead and maintain manufacturing and production systems to meet goals and schedules.
• Apply Toyota Production System techniques to standardize processes and reduce waste.
• Develop standardized work procedures and assign appropriate work stations.
• Coordinate floor activities with Toyota Boshoku Business Practices for effectiveness.
• Maintain high quality and efficiency; ensure adherence to quality systems.
• Monitor parts flow, inventory, and kanbans; address issues as needed.
• Collaborate with Quality for investigations and containment; troubleshoot daily issues.
• Identify changes to sustain quality, safety, and cost controls; drive continuous improvement.
• Proactively predict abnormalities and devise corrective solutions.
• Coordinate machinery/tool maintenance and repairs; participate in regular evaluations.
