Job summary

PLP is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to assist in developing engineering specifications and tooling for lean manufacturing environments. The role involves collaborating with technical staff to design or procure fixtures, machinery, and tooling to improve quality and cost metrics.

You will conduct kaizen studies, analyze layouts and workflows, and implement lean strategies focused on setup reduction and waste elimination. Proficiency with Pro/E/Creo, AutoCAD, and PLC concepts is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience with lean manufacturing practices and process design.
• ProE/Creo and AutoCAD design software proficiency.
• Familiarity with PLC programming and system integration is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Develop value stream strategies for modified or new machines and equipment to improve quality and cost.
• Conduct kaizen to optimize workforce utilization, space, workflow and layout for cell manufacturing.
• Develop and implement lean strategies, drive projects, eliminate waste, reduce setup times, track results.
