Job summary

Blachford Acoustics Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive process development and continuous improvement for product quality and yield. The role requires Lean/Six Sigma expertise, line support, and collaboration with operations to reduce waste and optimize equipment effectiveness.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in manufacturing engineering, strong CAD/CAE skills, and experience with PFMEA, SPC, and data-driven problem solving. Travel is minimal and sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience with plastics, paper, concrete, or food industries is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with RCA and 8D capability.
• Experience leading Lean/Six Sigma projects and kaizen events.
• Familiarity with PFMEA, QCP, and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Lead process development and continuous improvement to boost quality and OEE.
• Implement new products and revisions on assigned projects.
• Coordinate line trials and support tooling/equipment changes.
• Perform root cause analyses for quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Create/modify drawings and digital files; support CNC programming as needed.
• Work with operations, maintenance, and supply chain to sustain improvements.
• Lead changeovers and update PFMEA, QCP, and work instructions.
• Track performance, trends, and reporting for project deliverables.
