Job summary

Standard Motor Products is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and improve production methods for the fuel injector manufacturing department. You will draft process routings, specify equipment, and drive cost reductions using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.

Qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering and experience with CAD tools (AutoCAD, ProEngineer, SolidWorks) and TS16949 requirements. The role is on-site in Greenville, SC, with collaborative cross-functional engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial).
• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma tools or problem solving methodologies.
• Experience with TS16949 requirements.
• Proven track record of on-schedule and under-budget project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing processes for new products.
• Spec and procure manufacturing equipment and tooling.
• Create process routings and manufacturing metrics.
• Develop Process FMEA.
• Perform manufacturing cost analysis.
• Assist in make-or-buy cost analysis.
• Improve processes using Lean/Six Sigma tools.
• Resolve process performance issues (TPM, OEE).
• Assist in product transfers from development to production.
• Develop and implement training for manufacturing and maintenance.
• Develop preventive maintenance procedures and metrics.
