Job summary

RGBSI Aerospace & Defense seeks a Manufacturing Process Engineer to support and improve production processes in a lean environment. You will design, modify and test methods and equipment; develop processes and issue standard work and work instructions.

Responsibilities include preparing 3D models for drawing changes, producing FAIs for new parts, updating capability data in Solumina and Net Inspect, and producing OEE reports to monitor cell performance and drive improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
  • 2-3 years of industry experience preferred in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Enthusiastically support and contribute to manufacturing program and tools.
  • Support the development of manufacturing processes; design, modify and test methods and equipment requirements.
  • Process improvements: conduct evaluations, suggest designs and spearhead development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.
  • Mitigate waste: maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Lean Six sigma understanding: implement lean processes, conduct time studies, identify continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Review, update and write detailed process work instructions and standard work.
  • Prepare 3D models and data for drawing change requests to customers.
  • Preparing First Article Inspection reports (FAIs) for new parts process changes.
  • Updating capability monitoring data and maintaining databases in Solumina and Net Inspect.
  • Preparing OEE spreadsheets and presentations for cell performance monitoring and improvement.
