Job summary

Nidec is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to develop and implement cost-effective manufacturing processes in alignment with product specs and quality standards. You will collaborate with engineering and production teams to sustain improvements and coach lean methodologies.

The role requires 2–4 years in manufacturing, Lean experience, and a BS in engineering. On-site in Mankato, MN with a 1st shift schedule and bi-weekly pay. Competitive benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of manufacturing experience.
• Familiar with Lean tools and techniques.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or applicable experience.
• Must be a sole US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Apply statistical methods, lean manufacturing principles, and process analysis to deliver improved efficiency, throughput, cost reduction, and quality improvement projects.
• Perform time and motion studies to analyze processes and document current and future state standards.
• Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of processes and related equipment.
• Assist and facilitate lean events (Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen) throughout the plant.
• Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including goals, training, and evaluation of results.
• Work with production management, design and manufacturing engineering to optimize capabilities and schedules.
• Participate in plant-wide safety initiatives.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
