Job summary

Nidec Minster Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive efficient machining and assembly processes in our Manufacturing Engineering Group. Responsibilities include CNC programming of lathes and mills, documentation, tool/fixture design, and root-cause analysis to improve quality, cost, and throughput.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering or related field (or equivalent experience), plus 3 years in manufacturing. Proficiency with CAM programs and ERP is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred, but not required.
• Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with drafting, design, and CAM programming for lathes and mills.
• Experience with machine tools, tool holders, fixtures, and cutting tools.

Responsibilities

• Create CNC programs from 3D models; Siemens NX experience preferred.
• Create, modify, and maintain setup sheets and tool lists.
• Participate in problem-solving and root cause analysis processes.
• Review engineering prints and update CNC programs as needed.
• Develop part fixturing, process drawings, and routers; estimate setup times.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness; ensure compliance with policies.
• Provide cost/benefit analyses to support process improvements.
• Research new manufacturing tech; interact with vendors to enhance capabilities.
• Collaborate across departments to resolve machining limitations and reduce cost.
• Manage time effectively to meet production, quality, and delivery schedules.
