Job summary

Trane Technologies, Vidalia, GA location, seeks a Manufacturing Engineering support role to help develop, improve, maintain, and eliminate nonconformance in quality and manufacturing processes.

You will apply Lean methods on the shop floor, assist with process testing, train operators, and collaborate with supervisors and lead engineers to drive improvements and ensure equipment runs to specification.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles.
• 0–2 years in manufacturing with skilled equipment.
• Strong mathematical abilities.
• Ability to train others and coach operators.
• Broad knowledge of manufacturing engineering and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Apply Lean philosophy to improve or troubleshoot production processes.
• Identify opportunities to reduce nonconformances and errors.
• Support testing of new manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with supervisors and plant leaders to drive improvements.
• Document operator methods and equipment run instructions.
• Work with lead engineer to restore equipment to operation using data.
• Train operators to meet specifications on skilled equipment.
• Execute test plans and collect data to improve shop-floor processes.
