Job summary

Eaton Corporation seeks a Manufacturing Engineer at our Youngsville, NC plant to join the YPO manufacturing engineering team. You will implement Lean Manufacturing concepts and lead continuous improvement across operations, with a focus on safety, productivity, and cost reduction.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Engineering with May 2027 graduation and internship experience. Relocation assistance is available, and sponsorship is not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution with an anticipated May 2027 graduation.
• Minimum of three months internship or co‑op experience in engineering and/or manufacturing engineering.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Preferred: Degree in Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience with SAP or MRP systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Project.
• Experience with AutoCAD/ERP.

Responsibilities

• Implement Lean Manufacturing concepts and Value Stream Map evaluations to opportunities and future state across operations.
• Prioritize safety and repeatability; document processes with work instructions and support cost reduction.
• Lead capital improvement projects for equipment, facility enhancements and new product startups.
• Drive continuous improvement on the shop floor and support multiple product lines and assembly processes.
• Support and complete projects on schedule with minimal supervision; foster teamwork and a culture of improvement.
