Job summary

3M in Nevada, MO is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead cost, yield, and quality improvement initiatives across the plant. You will drive Lean and Six Sigma projects, manage change, support customer issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust manufacturing processes.

This role requires flexibility to cover nights, weekends, and holidays to ensure 24/7 operations, with relocation assistance potentially provided and travel up to 10% domestic/international.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering (completed and verified).
• Experience with quality improvement and cost reduction projects.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using statistical tools to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing cost, product yield, and quality improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and Value Stream methodologies.
• Lead local management of change projects focusing on communication, risk evaluation, and execution of process and product changes.
• Support rapid resolution of customer complaints with timely responses and implementation of corrective actions.
• Perform capability assessments for new opportunities.
• Create and maintain product/process documentation, including specifications and test methods.
• Collaborate with plant, division, and other resources to accomplish objectives.
• Cover nights, weekends, and holidays as needed for 24/7 continuous manufacturing.
