Job summary

Brunswick Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support lean improvements across production lines. The role emphasizes cost and schedule adherence, value stream mapping, and line layout optimizations to raise throughput and quality.

Candidates should have 1–3 years in manufacturing, a related engineering degree, and green belt or higher in Lean Six-Sigma within 6 months. CAD, Modeling, and Visualization tools are valued as part of continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean principles/methods including Value Stream Maps, 5S, Kaizen, and Statistical Process Control.
  • Ability to apply root cause analysis and problem solving tools.
  • Self-directed, hands-on, multi-tasking with high quality and timeliness.
  • Strong written and verbal communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to interpret product engineering specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency; CAD, Modeling, Simulation, and Visual Basic preferred.
  • LSS Green Belt within 6 months and Black Belt within 2 years.

Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Develop value stream maps, standard work sheets, routings, capacity analysis, and line layouts.
  • Apply Lean Six-Sigma to reduce waste, variation, and improve throughput.
  • Lead Kaizen events and train line workers in Kanban and one-piece flow.
  • Support tooling/design, fixtures, and process optimization with new technologies.
  • Provide manufacturing engineering support for new product introductions.
  • Collaborate in cross-functional teams and lead multiple groups.
