Job summary

Fuyao Glass America Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for the Coating Preassembly department in Moraine, OH. You will analyze processes, drive efficiency, and lead Lean initiatives to reduce scrap and improve pretreatment quality.

The role collaborates with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams, supports new equipment, and validates processes while tracking KPIs such as cycle time, yield, and downtime to ensure a smooth transition into mass production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules and operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Develop, implement, and optimize production workflows, layouts, and standard work.
• Support new equipment installation and lead process validation.
• Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams to resolve issues.
• Monitor and report on KPIs such as cycle time, yield, and downtime.
• Support the launch of new automotive glass products and ensure smooth transition into mass production.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma).
• Other duties as assigned.
