Job summary

Fuyao Glass America Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Dayton, OH to improve pretreatment production quality and reduce waste while increasing output. The role focuses on analyzing processes, developing efficient workflows, and validating new equipment for mass production.

The engineer will collaborate with quality, maintenance and production teams and lead lean initiatives, implementing 5S and Six Sigma where applicable to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing engineering or related field.
• Common workplace languages are English and Mandarin; strong communication skills required.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Develop, implement, and optimize production workflows, layouts, and standard operating procedures.
• Support new equipment installation and lead process validation.
• Collaborate with quality, maintenance, and production teams to solve problems.
• Monitor and report KPIs such as cycle time, yield and downtime.
• Assist with the launch of new automotive glass products and ensure smooth entry into mass production.
• Implement lean production and continuous improvement programs (e.g., 5S, Six Sigma).
• Perform other assigned duties.
