Job summary

Brunswick is seeking a Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer to drive Lean improvements across safety, quality, cost and delivery at our NY plant. You will map value streams, design standard work, and lead Kaizen events to cut waste and improve throughput.

You’ll apply root-cause analysis, work with CAD and modeling tools, and collaborate across functions on new product introductions while pursuing Green/Black Belt milestones.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean principles and methods (Value Stream Maps, 5S, Kaizen, SPC).
  • Ability to apply root cause analysis and problem solving tools.
  • Self-directed, hands-on, multi-tasking with good communication.
  • Experience with CAD, Modeling and Simulation preferred.
  • LSS Green Belt within 6 months; Black Belt within 2 years.

Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost and delivery.
  • Develop value stream maps, standard work, routings, capacity analyses.
  • Use Lean Six-Sigma to eliminate waste and improve material flow.
  • Lead Kaizen events and train workers in Kanban and one‑piece flow.
  • Assist tooling/design and installation to meet quality specs.
  • Support process optimization through capital equipment justification.
  • Provide manufacturing engineering support for NPI.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and multiple projects.
