Job summary

Brunswick Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive Lean initiatives in the plant, optimizing safety, quality, cost and delivery while supporting new product introductions.

You will lead value stream mapping, standard work, Kaizen events and cross-functional teams, applying Six Sigma tools and capital equipment justifications. The role offers growth and Belt certification opportunities within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years manufacturing experience.
  • B.S. in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • Strong Lean principles knowledge: Value Stream Maps, 5S, Kaizen, SPC.
  • Root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-directed, hands-on, able to multi-task several projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; CAD/Modeling/Simulation and Visual Basic preferred.
  • Aim to achieve LSS Green Belt in 6 months and Black Belt in 2 years.

Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost and delivery.
  • Develop value stream maps, standard work sheets, routings, capacity analyses.
  • Apply Lean Six-Sigma to reduce waste and improve throughput.
  • Lead Kaizen events and train line workers in Kanban and one-piece flow.
  • Assist in tooling/fixture design, fabrication and installation for quality.
