Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes for optimal production efficiency and product quality. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement lean improvements, and support cost-effective manufacturing across product lines.

The role requires 3+ years of experience, CAD/CAM proficiency (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), and strong problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement and safety-focused operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks and AutoCAD) is required.
• Experience with LEAN Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience with project management and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing methods by applying engineering and LEAN principles.
• Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow for maximum efficiency.
• Confer with planning and design staff to ensure efficient production methods.
• Study specifications and blueprints to resolve design problems.
• Prepare tool and fixture concepts and develop CAD drawings.
• Coordinate with vendors on specifications and procurement of equipment and parts.
• Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs for decisions.
• Use MTM, MSD, Time Study, or similar systems for factory time measurement.
• Collaborate with management to facilitate production schedules and capabilities.
• Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements.
• Evaluate product lines and suggest changes to improve throughput, quality, and cost.
• Troubleshoot equipment during downtime and coordinate with maintenance.
• Provide input to safety committees and Lean teams.
• Work with HR and other departments to deliver HR support to the business.
