Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead design and improvement of manufacturing processes, systems, and methods. You will collaborate across functions to implement process improvements, ensure efficient, cost-effective production, and support product quality improvements.

You will apply lean principles, analyze workflows, and develop layouts, tool concepts, and CAD drawings to optimize throughput and efficiency across manufacturing lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required. Master’s degree preferred. 6–10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience with project management and handling multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods and layouts to optimize efficiency and cost.
• Analyze workforce utilization, space, and workflow for maximum product flow using Lean principles.
• Collaborate with design and planning staff to ensure efficient production methods.
• Review specifications and shop data to resolve design problems.
• Prepare CAD drawings and coordinate tooling and fixture concepts with manufacturing staff.
• Coordinate with vendors on equipment and materials, evaluating against specs and quality standards.
• Estimate production times and costs to support management decisions using formal time measurement methods.
• Support safety, Lean teams, and cross-functional partners with manufacturing excellence.
