Job summary

CRH Americas Building Products is seeking a Manufacturing Lean & Capital Projects specialist to lead process improvements across multiple regional plants. You will drive lean initiatives, evaluate opportunities, and mentor plant teams to improve profitability, throughput and quality while traveling 75–90% among North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and New York.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in precast.
• In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing to support continuous production operations.
• Quality control/maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Proven track record applying lean techniques to improve profitability, throughput and quality.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, and ERP/MRP systems.
• Ability to lead multiple complex projects in a matrix organization.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate and improve production methods using lean tools and production knowledge.
• Identify opportunities for significant regional improvements through lean initiatives and capital investments.
• Provide oversight, planning, training and mentoring to plant teams executing lean projects.
• Drive process changes with hands-on communication with plant teams.
• Optimize plant layout and flow to reduce inefficiencies and costs.
• Lead plant improvement workshops to diagnose bottlenecks in production.
• Provide kaizen, 5S training and lean tool guidance.
• Track and ensure identified improvements are completed as planned.
• Translate operational needs into project requirements and specifications.
