Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in North Carolina seeks a Maintenance Technician I - Continuous Improvement to drive daily Lean execution on the shop floor. You will coach teams, sustain standards, apply 5S, standard work, and visual management to eliminate waste and improve processes across press, assembly, hotbox, FRP, and PC.

The role is 1st shift, Monday–Friday 7am–4pm with required overtime; hands-on shop floor work and active engagement with operators and supervisors are essential to succeed in this

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong understanding of lean concepts (5S, standard work, visual management, waste elimination).
• Ability to coach and influence operators and supervisors at all levels.
• Comfortable spending most time on the shop floor; good communication and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive daily Lean execution on the shop floor and support KPI tracking.
• Coach operators and team leads on lean thinking and problem solving; lead small kaizen events.
• Maintain and audit standard work, visual controls, and leader standard work; support sustainment of CI initiatives.
