Job summary

Enpro Inc. seeks a Machine Shop Manager to oversee a production team and ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective manufacturing of high-quality parts. The role emphasizes lean principles, quality standards, and staff development to foster empowerment and continuous improvement.

You will drive cost reduction, improve yields, coordinate with Supply Chain and Production Leads, and support NPIs from planning through production. Strong leadership and GD&T proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
• Understanding of CNC program efficiency.
• Formal training in related manufacturing area preferred.
• Experience in a machine shop is required.
• Ability to read measuring instruments and blueprints with GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Develop quote proposal pricing for machined components.
• Schedule and staff the department to meet delivery schedules.
• Ensure quality and manufacturing metrics (yield and efficiencies).
• Identify training needs and coordinate department training.
• Lead continuous improvement to reduce costs and improve yields.
• Monitor performance to meet financial metrics and optimize efficiency.
• Support early stages of NPI process including space, staffing, and training.
