Job summary

Daikin Comfort is seeking a Continuous Improvement Technician to support the Engineering lab and drive Lean/Kaizen initiatives. You will educate employees on continuous improvement practices, apply lean tools to eliminate waste, and develop standard work within the lab environment.

Responsibilities include creating visual controls, collaborating with lab leadership, and coaching process owners to improve safety, quality, and productivity while maintaining ISO 17025 guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in an ISO 17025 accredited lab preferred.
• Lean/continuous improvement knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement lean projects to eliminate waste and improve productivity.
• Develop and implement lab work instructions focused on engineering processes and ISO 17025.
• Create visual controls and signage to reinforce processes and track metrics.
• Collaborate with lab management to develop Lean mindset and standardized work.
• Lead weekly staff meetings.
• Educate and coach process owners in lean and statistical tools.
• Drive safety, quality and efficiency measures through proactive problem resolution.
• Handle additional projects to support ongoing business needs.
