Job summary

Daikin Comfort in Texas seeks a manufacturing technician leader to support assembly operations and drive continuous improvement on the shop floor. You will apply lean principles, develop standard work, and lead a team of technicians in an innovation studio.

Ideal candidates bring strong communication and interpersonal skills, mechanical aptitude, experience with hand and power tools, blueprint reading, and the ability to coordinate with multiple departments to achieve objectives through kaizen

Qualifications

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Lean principles and data driven.
• Experience in an assembly manufacturing operation.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Able to build Creform, SUS, 80/20 structures.
• Use of measuring tape and blueprint reading.
• Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Problem solving techniques.
• Lead team of technicians and drive kaizen on the floor.
• Develop and work with standard work instructions.
• Build material inventory lists and assist with ordering.
• Coordinate with other departments and implement kaizen ideas on the manufacturing floor.
