Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Laboratory Optimization and Master Scheduler to drive operational excellence across Exact Sciences clinical laboratories in Madison, WI. You will map and streamline lab processes using Lean methods, develop KPIs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable improvements.

The role requires data-driven analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and field-based work in Madison, WI with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in scientific or related field.
• 3+ years of laboratory experience with 2+ years of Laboratory Information System operating.
• 1+ years’ experience in monitoring and analyzing key laboratory metrics.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve flow diagrams and Lean solutions for labs.
• Lead Lean or Flow transformation projects as assigned.
• Monitor and report on KPIs to assess impact of improvements.
• Collaborate with lab management to implement workflow improvements.
• Time studies to identify inefficiencies and establish baseline metrics.
• Maintain SIPOC diagrams for cross-functional alignment.
