Qualifications

• MD or DO with a current medical license and board certification in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology or equivalent qualifications.
• MD, DO or DPM with a current medical license and laboratory training/experience including 1 year high-complexity testing.
• Doctoral degree in chemical/physical/biological or clinical lab sciences with board certification.
• Doctoral Degree in relevant science plus 1 year training.
• Experience leading teams, projects, and/or committees with a demonstrated ability to lead through influence.

Responsibilities

• Support the clinical laboratory director to ensure effective functioning of all tests.
• Ensure test performance requirements meet regulatory and medical standards.
• Verify that testing systems meet established performance requirements across pre-, analytic, and post-analytic phases.
• Collaborate with R&D, product and software teams to define performance requirements and validation plans.
• Ensure staff training and competency programs are in place and proficiency testing is maintained.
• Work with quality teams to establish and maintain QC/QA programs and incident investigations.
• Assist with cross-functional launches, SOPs, and marketing material reviews.
• Uphold Abbott values and maintain regular attendance.
• Maintain an inclusion mindset across the organization.
