Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Manager of Industrial Engineering at Cleveland Engine Plant to lead our IE team in delivering productivity proposals and line optimization. You will supervise IEs, coordinate with production, and drive throughput improvements while interfacing with the union and health and safety teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering and 5 years of supervisory manufacturing experience, with a focus on root-cause analysis and cross-functional change

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering.
• 5 years of supervision experience in manufacturing.
• Strong root-cause analysis and change-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead ergonomics improvement and IE actions.
• Lead workstation setup and optimization.
• Implement engineering changes affecting workstations and allocations.
• Supervise IEs with time study schedules (MODAPTS).
• Interface with union/works council and Health and Safety.
• Lead headcount cost-saving projects.
• Supervise monthly tracking of progress in WAVE and LRPT.
• Lead cycle line layout process and staffing decisions.
• Lead Get Ready process and future model labor development.
• Mentor production organization and provide IE training.
