Job summary

Ford's Cleveland Engine Plant in Ohio is seeking a seasoned Industrial Engineering Manager to lead our Industrial Engineering team. In this leadership role, you will drive productivity proposals, including rebalances, OLOT reductions, and throughput improvements, while guiding the IE staff and coordinating with production.

You will oversee ergonomics, workstation optimization, and engineering changes; supervise IEs with time-study schedules; collaborate with unions and Health & Safety; manage

Qualifications

• Must have 5 years' supervision experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering is required.
• Strong root cause analysis and ability to drive change back to production.

Responsibilities

• Lead ergonomics improvement and problem solving through IE actions.
• Lead workstation setup and optimization.
• Implement engineering changes that affect the workstation and allocations.
• Supervise/coach IEs with time study schedules (e.g., MODAPTS).
• Interface with union/works council and Health and Safety to settle job disputes and ergonomic issues.
• Lead headcount cost savings projects.
• Supervise monthly tracking of progress in WAVE and LRPT.
• Lead cycle line layout process.
• Supervise planning for mix and line speed changes.
• Lead the Get Ready process.
• Lead/manage departmental rolls analysis for weekly manpower meeting to ensure proper labor staffing and strategy.
• Lead future model labor development (design, cycle line layouts, future model allocations).
• Serve as resource for plant IE training/assistance.
