Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Michigan seeks an experienced manufacturing engineer to optimize capacity and lead an agile team on advanced production lines. You will analyze capacity losses, plan tooling, monitor coating speed, and drive improvements to meet targets.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in industrial/manufacturing engineering with 2+ years of experience, plus proficiency in CAD, Excel, and PowerPoint; Master’s and bilingual English/Mandarin are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related fields (required).
  • 2+ years relevant professional experience.
  • Proficiency in industrial engineering, ergonomics, lean production, and project management.
  • Proficiency in CAD, Excel, PowerPoint, and other office software.

Responsibilities

  • Improve capacity through analyses (equipment capacity loss, line balance, fixed loss).
  • Plan tooling and facilities based on future capacity.
  • Monitor coating speed; analyze issues; implement improvements to meet targets.
  • Analyze OEE to identify opportunities for capacity improvement.
  • Organize Gemba Work, workshops, and brainstorming to find improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate resources for on-site issues (5S, production coordination, daily improvements).
  • Support new line construction, equipment arrival, handling, and commissioning progress.
  • Be flexible with shifts, including weekends.
