Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an Industrial Engineer to establish and optimize labor standards, methods, and process flows across our manufacturing plants. You will drive continuous improvement through time studies, ergonomics evaluations, and value stream mapping, coordinating with supervision and the UAW.

The role emphasizes cross-plant flexibility, mentorship, and strong teamwork to deliver cost savings, efficient manpower utilization, and high-quality production supporting our ONE FORD

Qualifications

• Proven ability to analyze and resolve issues quickly through root cause analysis.
• Rotation across plant positions such as Production or Quality.
• Strong customer orientation and adherence to the Quality Operating System.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.
• Participatory ONE FORD leadership and teamwork.
• Able to mentor the production organization.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain labor standards and methods; track labor utilization and line balancing.
• Conduct ergonomics evaluations and analyze process constraints to drive improvements.
• Propose efficient manpower distribution and review daily allocations across lines.
• Prepare cost estimates for new or revised methods and standards.
• Review plant layout changes and value stream mappings.
• Develop cycle line layouts using ACAD and coordinate changes with engineering.
• Interface with Production Supervision and UAW to resolve disputes.
• Assist planning labor allocations for mix and line speed changes.
